Hey there, lovely people! I’m Lori, and I’m beyond thrilled to be diving into this adventure with my very first blog post. It’s been a long time coming, but here I am, ready to conquer the world (or at least the internet) and prove to myself that I’ve got what it takes. I wanted to start by sharing how I found my passion in soapmaking.
Let me give you a little sneak peek into who I am… I’ve been a creative soul since day one, starting with those classic mud pies in the backyard and branching out into crafts, sewing, fine art, woodworking—you name it! I’m all about that DIY life, because why buy when you can make it yourself, am I right? And as a mom, I’m all about saving money!
Now, let me tell you about my soapmaking journey—it’s a special one. I initially dove into soap making as a way to fundraise for a service dog for my amazing son with Autism. But along the way, something magical happened. Not only did I fall head over heels for the art of soap making, but I also fell in love with a certain adorable Black Lab named Tico.
And that brings us here—to this blog! I’m here to share my passion for soap making with all who will listen. Trust me, there’s nothing quite like the joy of mixing science and art to create something that not only smells divine but also serves a purpose.
I want to teach you everything from the basics to advanced techniques, and explore the enchantment of chemistry and science as we transform oils into soap. Let’s make soapmaking simple! I’m eager to show you just how easy it can be.
